Please print out the rules for the race(s) you plan on participating in.

Normal Scout Races - this is the actual race for trophies. Only registered scouts may participate

Open Race - Scout and Siblings that make cars that do not meet the rule criteria can still race the car in this race as well as Adults - No Trophies

A couple of things to avoid to make sure the Scout's Car and Sibling Car is not disqualified -

1. Absolutely no store bought preshaped bodies
2. No cars bought on Ebay or the internet
3. If you sand the wheels, they must be lightly sanded.  If they have sanding marks on them, they will have to be changed before racing. They must also not be narrowed or grooved.  You can buy BSA approved wheels from the Scout Store or Michael's Art and Crafts if you want colored wheels.
4. No store bought speed axles or speed wheels
5. No wet lubricants for the axles and wheels - Graphite is preferred.
6. The block included in the kit given to the boy is the block that is to be raced and no cars from previous years can be used.

For the Non -Trophy Races, the above rules will not apply - spend as much as you want. Just make sure to follow the other race rules and build the car yourself.

We will have extra car kits for sale for siblings and adults as well as extra scout cars in case the original is ruined.

Please remember - this is for the scouts.  Help them learn to build the car themselves with your help.  Determine the skill level of each boy and allow them to do as much as possible.

If any rule is not clear, please check with me to make sure it will be OK to do any modifications.
