The Pack holds several fundraisers throughout the year. Some are sponsored by the Council and thus the Council receives a percentage of these funds, to help offset costs. Remaining profits are deposited into each Scout's individual account, that are used to help with costs for dues, camp and other events.  Additional fundraisers are sponsored by the Pack. The Pack, and the individual boys that participate in these fundraisers, split the profits.  It is primarily through these fundraisers that the Pack is able to purchase equipment (pack stove, water jug, dutch oven, storage bins, ink, paper).  That's why it is so important that each Scout participate in fundraising. Additionally, fundraising teaches the boys valuable skills including money management, and public speaking.

Hardship cases for dues: To be eligible, Scout must participate in fundraising opportunities. Parent/guardian needs to advise Den Leader of hardship, and the Den leader will present the request to the Committee. The Committee will evaluate each case on an individual basis.

Hardship cases for camp: To be eligible, Scout must participate in all fundraising opportunities during the year. The parent/guardian needs to advise Den Leader of hardship, and the Den Leader will present the request to the Committee. The Committee will evaluate each case on an individual basis.  The Committee expects that families will try to plan appropriately during the year to try to avoid the need for assistance.  However, the Committee understands that some things are unexpected, and we do not want any Scout to miss out, if at all possible, due to family financial hardship.  Parents need to help Scouts understand that they may have to choose not to attend some special events in order to save money so that they can attend camp, as budgeting is a valuable life skill.
